Captain

Captain Sara Lombraña has worked in law enforcement for 11 years. Captain Lombraña began her career as an intern at the Richmond District Office of the Chief Medical Examiner and as a Spanish translator for the Fredericksburg Police Department. Captain Lombraña began her law enforcement career with the Fredericksburg Police Department as a Patrol Officer, before joining the Colonial Beach Police Department in 2012. Captain Lombraña has served as a Patrol Officer, Detective, Detective Sergeant, Lieutenant and is now serving as the Captain (Deputy Chief). 

Captain Lombraña is a graduate of the Rappahannock Regional Criminal Justice Academy, Virginia Forensic Academy, the Federal Bureau of Investigations Law Enforcement Executive Development Association; Supervisory, Command, and Executive leadership courses earning the Trilogy Award, as well as the University of Richmond’s 51st Session Professional Executive Leadership School

Captain Lombraña holds a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies from the University of Mary Washington. Captain Lombraña is a United States Army veteran and served oversees in both South Korea and the former Yugoslavia.
