  • Torrey Smith Back to School Event

The Torrey Smith Back to School event at Torrey Smith Park in Colonial Beach on July 24 was a big hit. Torrey and Chanel Smith's organization, Level 82, gave away 200 backpacks filled with school supplies. The day featured a DJ, food, and an inflatable obstacle course.  Local volunteer groups helped to make the event a memorable one. A book club gave away books, and CB Parks & Rec supplied basketballs, pickleball equipment, and sidewalk chalk. The Smith family was hands-on, cooking food and playing basketball, making the event a fun and memorable start to the school year.

  • Trinidad & Tobago came to Colonial Beach

The Providence QRC Steel Pan Drum Concert on July 28 was a delightful highlight at The Beach. Presented by CB Parks & Rec and BAMM as well as other individual donors, the talented student musicians from Trinidad entertained the crowd with a mix of popular, classical, jazz, and Caribbean music. The free performance, held on the Town Hill outdoor stage, offered a perfect blend of vibrant music and scenic beach views.
