Welcome to our digital newsletter! Colonial Beach Connector is the Town’s official newsletter, produced monthly providing important updates and information from across the community.  

Have a News Tip? Do you have an idea for a good community story or information about an event that you want to share? The Happenings Around Town section of the newsletter allows for brief community information-sharing. Send community news and high-resolution photographs to communications@colonialbeachva.gov. All material provided is subject to editorial review and revision and will be used as space and timing allow.

There will be no Sip N’ Stroll in October

  • 2nd Friday Coffee Walks

    Colonial Buzz is open once again and Coffee Walks are back! Join the easy-going walking group at Colonial Buzz Espresso Bar inside Colonial Beach Brewing at 215 Washington Avenue every 2nd Friday. We start walking at 8:00 AM all the way to the end of the Town Pier and back.  Our next walk happens Friday, October 11, 2024, 8:00 AM-10:00 AM.

  • World Photography Day images can be seen at the Friday, October 11 ArtWalk, 6:00 PM-9:00PM at CoBe WorkSpaces (100 Hawthorn Street). Photo albums from the 2024 event will be available for sale.

  • Fitness Classes at the Colonial Beach Community Center

    Fall Fitness classes are happening. For a list of upcoming classes at the Colonial Beach Community Center at 717 Marshall Avenue, email sadams@colonialbeachva.gov. Classes are $7 per session. Instructors offer discounts for signing up for 6 or 8 weeks of fitness on the first day of class.

2024 Yard Debris Pick up Schedule


Monday, November 11 thru Friday November 15

Monday, December 9 thru Friday December 13

Pickups will only take place on your trash day during the weeks listed above. We do not schedule individual pickups. Yard debris that needs to be disposed outside of these weeks is the resident's responsibility. Please make sure that yard debris is separated from your normal trash. Yard debris must be bagged or tied in bundles no longer than 4 feet in length, with branches no larger than 4 inches in diameter, and weigh no more than 40 lbs.   The online schedule can be found at https://Colonialbeachva.gov/CBtrash.

If you have not created a login on the Town of Colonial Beach website,

you can:

  1. Click & follow this  Link .

  2. Then in the upper left corner click on the “Create a Website Account”.

  3. Follow the instructions provided,  and fill in the spaces with the information requested.

  4. Finally, click “Create Account” in the red box

  5. Once you have an account, you will have access to more information than the casual user with public access.
